CHAPTER 1

It was a fine day, starting off with lots of smiles, loads of happiness, and eagerness-except for Nithya and Adithya. Since it was Nithya's baby shower, all her family members were so excited for the day.

She woke up and searched for her husband, Adithya, but he was not there. She slowly tried to get out of bed and headed to the bathroom. After a quick shower, she put on her wedding
saree halfheartedly. When she came outside, all her relatives were busy with household chores. Her grandpa and grandma were receiving the guest, her mother in law was busy arranging the requirements for the baby shower. But her eyes were looking only for her husband.

The moment she stepped out of the room, all her family members embraced her and took her to the place where the ceremony was to be conducted. They made her sit in a chair, and the ceremony was about to begin. She searched for Adithya, and there he was, standing next to her unwillingly. One by one, the relatives began adorning her with bangles. Finally, according to tradition, the last two bangles were to be adorned to the wife by the husband.
When they called Adithya, he came near her, took the bangles, and millions of thoughts rolled through both Adithya's and Nithya's minds. They both looked so uncomfortable around each other. "He reluctantly put the bangles on her wrist."

All Nithya could think about at that moment was how she fell for him. When she tried to look at him, her past flashed before her eyes. One evening, she had come home from college, tired and searching for something to eat in the kitchen. While looking for food, she heard noises from the hall. She overheard her MIL and FIL discussing their wish to have Nithya as their daughter-in-law. Her grandparents, of course, accepted the marriage proposal.
Nithya's parents had died in a car accident when she was a baby; from that day until now, her grandparents had taken care of her. She was cute and smart but often felt flustered
around Adithya.

She went to the hall and greeted her aunt and uncle. Her grandparents told her about the marriage proposal in front of her uncle and aunt. Without any hesitation, she accepted the proposal. From childhood, all she had ever wanted was a beautiful family, and the other reason she accepted this marriage was because of Adithya-her soulmate. She had adored him since childhood, and her thoughts were always about marrying him one day. And now, that was finally happening! But at the same time, she wanted to talk to Adithya to understand how he felt about the marriage.

Adithya entered the hall and sat on the couch. He is Running a successful farm business, he was tall and handsome but rarely spoke in front of others. Nithya stared at him for a long time and told her aunt that she wanted to speak with Adithya. All her family members gave
them space to talk alone. Nithya felt shy around him. Out of happiness, she asked Adithya, "Are you willing to marry me?" She was excited to know his answer. He simply said, "No." Her heart shattered into pieces like the bangles that now broke on the floor as Adithya tried to put them on her wrist.

She stopped looking at him, and the place became a mess. Adithya apologized and started to pick up the broken pieces of bangles from the floor while her family members helped him. The place was noisy. He hadn't glanced at her all morning. She regretted this moment; tears began to fall from her eyes. All she could think now was that her "MARRIAGE IS A FAILURE."
